Refund Policy

Last updated: 23 May 2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for a paid Mailotte subscription. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Mailotte is operated by MAILOTTE LTD, a company incorporated in England and Wales (company number 17119010). Nothing in this policy affects your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Free Plan and Free Trial

The Mailotte free plan is, and always will be, free of charge — there is nothing to refund. Paid plans may be offered with a free trial. During a free trial you are not charged. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and the applicable fee is charged.

2. 14-Day Statutory Cancellation Right

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a statutory right to cancel a purchase made online within 14 days of entering into the contract, without giving a reason (“cooling-off period”). Because Mailotte is a digital service supplied immediately, by subscribing and starting to use the paid service you expressly request that we begin supply during the cooling-off period and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the service has been fully performed. Where the service has only been partly performed when you cancel within the 14 days, we will refund the fee less an amount proportionate to the service already provided.

3. Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly plans are billed in advance. You can cancel at any time from your Account Settings; your subscription then remains active until the end of the current billing month and is not renewed. Outside the 14-day cooling-off period described above, part months are not refundable, because you retain full access for the period you paid for.

4. Annual Subscriptions

Annual plans are billed in advance for twelve months. If you cancel an annual plan within 30 days of the start of an annual term (whether a new purchase or a renewal), we will provide a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of that term. After the first 30 days, an annual plan can be cancelled to stop future renewals, but the remainder of the current term is non-refundable.

5. Automatic Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. We send a reminder before an annual renewal is charged. You can turn off automatic renewal at any time in your Account Settings; doing so stops future charges but does not, by itself, refund a charge that has already been taken (see Sections 3 and 4).

6. Service Issues and Exceptional Circumstances

If you experience a significant, prolonged service failure attributable to Mailotte, or you were charged in error, contact us and we will investigate and, where appropriate, issue a full or partial refund or service credit. We deal with these requests fairly and on a case-by-case basis.

7. When Refunds Are Not Available

Except where required by law, refunds are generally not available:

  • For the unused remainder of a monthly term after the cooling-off period
  • For an annual term cancelled more than 30 days after it began
  • Where an account has been suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use
  • For fees already lawfully charged where you simply stopped using the service

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or to cancel, email billing@mailotte.com from the address associated with your account, or use the cancellation controls in your Account Settings. Please include your account email and the reason for the request so we can help quickly.

9. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are made to your original payment method via our payment processor. We aim to process refunds within 14 days of approval; the time for the funds to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer. Refunds are issued in the original currency of the charge.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the service. The policy in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
